Info/graphics

During the lockdown days, I kept myself busy making info-comics for social media. Here are four, which best display the comicstrip aesthetic of my illustration work.

Let's Talk About Virus Mutation
Let's Talk About Virus Mutation

Months into the pandemic and months before the vaccine rollout, there remained plenty fo misinformation and confusion around how viruses spread. This hasn’t changed much. I made this comic to help explain the not-so-simple process of mutation, and to explain why we need to train ourselves to get very familiar with uncertainty, as scientists and doctors continue to work tirelessly to better understand this not-so-new existential threat to humanity.

This info-comic explores an incredible group of creatures with an incredibly bad (and undeserved) reputation.

Smoking Section

While a good deal of my professional work has been in cannabis, the plant has also been a potent inspiration for creativity as well.

A political cartoon made in response to Richardson’s disqualification from the Olympics, due to her use of cannabis while coping with the death of her mother. The image struck a nerve with many and quickly went viral.

I made the images free for re-use, so long as a donation would be made to the Last Prisoner Project from any profits. July 2021

The world is not an ashtray. Yet, approximately 4.5 trillion cigarettes are littered every year. Beyond causing forest fires, they also poison fish and choke birds and other animals that attempt to swallow them.

Unlike a paper roach, the plastic fibers in cigarette filters are not biodegradable, so this dangerous garbage is with us for the long haul.

One Vote At a Time

One Vote at a Time is a team of female filmmakers dedicated to the eradication of gun violence. They believe a future free of gun violence is possible, but know we have to fight for it. Since 2016, they have served 387 campaigns in 18 states across the country with in kind campaign ads, working to elect leaders with the political courage to enact gun safety legislation.

I was honored to be tapped by their founder to make these gifs for their 2020 campaign.
